Lord I pray
As I race today
Keep me safe along the way
Not only me, but others too
As they perform the jobs they do.
I know God, that in a race
I the driver must set the pace
But in this race of life I pray
Help me out along the way

Well its Saturday night and we're heading to the track
Got the car on the trailer and the tools in the back
We spent all our money and worked every night
Hoping its not too loose or too tight
Where we might finish, no one could know
So just hold it wide open and put on a show
For the fans only remember the one winning face
Everybody Else just showed up and raced.
